Spice Board Of India
Spices Board (Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India) is the flagship organization for the development and worldwide promotion of Indian spices. The Board is an international link between the Indian exporters and the importers abroad. The Board has been spearheading activities for excellence of Indian spices, involving every segment of the industry. The Board has made quality and hygiene the corner stones for its development and promotional strategies.
FSSAI
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has been established under Food Safety and Standards , 2006 which consolidates various acts & orders that have hitherto handled food related issues in various Ministries and Departments. FSSAI has been created for laying down science based standards for articles of food and to regulate their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale and import to ensure availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption.
APEDA
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) was established by the Government of India under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act passed by the Parliament in December, 1985. The Act (2 of 1986) came into effect from 13th February, 1986 by a notification issued in the Gazette of India: Extraordinary: Part-II [Sec. 3(ii): 13.2.1986). The Authority replaced the Processed Food Export Promotion Council (PFEPC).
IOPEPC
The Indian Oilseeds and Produce Export Promotion Council (IOPEPC) has its roots dating back to 1956, when it was established as the Indian Oilseeds & Produce Exporters Association (IOPEPA). It was subsequently granted the official status as an Export Promotion Council by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India in 2006. Beyond its primary focus on exports, IOPEPC plays a pivotal role in bolstering India's domestic supply chain of Oilseeds. The Council collaborates closely with farmers, shellers, processors, surveyors, and exporters to elevate the quality standards of Oilseeds across the nation.
